Our trusty old Ammco 3850 brake lathe gave up the ghost last week. We’ve used this brake lathe for about 15 years and it always gave us excellent results when “turning” (machining) brake drums and brake rotors for our customer’s cars and trucks. Machining brake drums and rotors insures that the new brakes will operate smoothly, quietly, and efficiently. With almost no notice our Ammco brake lathe broke last week. Unfortunately the lathe was not serviceable and had to be replaced rather than repaired.
